About Centre for Artificial Intelligence

The Artificial Intelligence Centre has been established to train students in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Data Science, equipping them with in-demand skills and bridging the gap between industry and academia.

AI refers to the capability of machines to simulate human cognitive processes, automating tasks and replicating human intelligence through cognitive computing. It can identify patterns, derive insights from unprocessed data, make predictions, and facilitate interactions between people, machines, and the environment.

Core areas include knowledge engineering, machine learning, deep learning, machine perception, robotics, and applications in knowledge, reasoning, problem-solving, perception, learning, planning, and process automation.
