1 WATER QUALITY ANALYSIS IN PERI- URBAN AREAS OF CHENNAI CITY USING AQUACHEM SOFTWARE Water is essential for ecosystem and has been term as ‘elixir of life’. This study focuses on water quality analysis in peri-urban area Chennai examining the impact of urbanization on water quality parameter by using AQUACHEM software to identify contaminants assess the concentration and evaluate the overall water quantity. Finding will be contribute to understanding Environmental challenges in peri-urban area Chennai helps to design and inform sustainable water management strategies. The decision to choose the site location at Pammal was made due to some contaminated water caused by leather factories. Five water samples of contaminated water near leather factories have been collected in the source of bore water as well as well water around a range between 100 to 200 meters for each sample. This water samples have been tested in public work department PWD for 15days. Then the results have been got under permissible limits. The main parameters are pH tds alkalinity hardness calcium magnesium sodium potassium iron chloride all have been under the permissible limits. The PH value range between 6.5-8.5, The TDS value must be under 2000, the alkalinity value must be under 600, The Hardness value must be under 600, the calcium value must be under 200. Imported this result values of raw data in AQUACHEM software for analyse and report of aqueous geochemistry of supply wells analytical lab result samples from contaminated sites. A Contour map is developed in contaminated water areas in slope terrains, where Contour lines are connected by points of unequal elevation, assisting users in visualizing hills, valleys, slopes, and other features of the landscape.
2 DETECTION, PREVENTION AND REMOVAL OF CONTAMINANTS IN HYDRAULIC WORKING FLUID In our project, we concentrate on creating bespoke filters to address the specific requirements of diverse oil applications. We recognize the complexities inherent in different oils and industrial processes, prompting us to conduct thorough analysis of oil samples to ascertain the types and levels of contaminants present. Utilizing techniques such as the membrane patch test, we meticulously gather detailed data on contamination. This wealth of information forms the foundation of our filter selection process, ensuring that our filtration systems are finely tuned to effectively eliminate contaminants, thereby elevating oil quality and prolonging the lifespan of equipment. Our proactive approach not only mitigates the risk of machine downtime and production inefficiencies but also serves as a catalyst for enhancing manufacturing efficiency. By providing tailored filtration solutions, we enable industries to optimize their operations, minimize losses, and sustain peak performance levels
