Being able to communicate effectively is perhaps the most important of all life skills. Young Mind with strong public speaking skills is sought by many organizations. The one who articulates well is highly valued by employers and he/she tends to earn leadership positions.
To develop such a vital skill and kindle the interest of public speaking among every girl student, Chennai Institute of Technology organizes Girl Talks 2024. The 4th edition of the massive Talkathon for Girls with the Theme: “Invest in Women: Accelerate Progress”, brings the girl students of schools across the state on a single platform to compete against each other to exhibit their public speaking skills and evolve leadership capabilities. This initiative is envisioned to identify young, powerful communicators and leaders who can communicate their thoughts to inspire the peers in their community and to encourage women empowerment.
What to expect?
The speaker has to choose a topic, which has a vital message to inspire the theme “Theme: Invest in Women: Accelerate Progress”
- The duration of the talk must be for a maximum of 10 minutes and the speaker has to deliver a power packed talk within the stipulated time.
- The speaker is expected to exhibit passion, energy, attitude, skills and abilities to make the speech very interesting and effective.
- Eligibility: Girl Student currently pursuing 10th,11th and 12th in any recognized schools across Tamil Nadu
- Top 3 from each school will be rewarded and Top 1 will be shortlisted for State level Grand finale
- Winner will be awarded as “Girl Icon of the Year 2022”
