GO GREEN Walkathon Organised by CIT

GO GREEN Walkathon Organised by CIT-Chennai Institute of Technology

 The NSS and GREEN TEAM of Chennai Institute of Technology organised  Walkathon on 4th Jan’17 from Marina Beech to Light House at 6am, to spread awareness on conservation and protection of natural resources for our future generations, and to maintain an eco-friendly environment to protect the human race.

1500 students along with faculty members took part for the noble cause, to create awareness on planting trees, maintaining eco friendly surroundings and distribute saplings to the people.

Superintendent of Police <<<Name>>> flagged off the Walkathon and students walked through carrying placards, urging the people to care the ecosystem to keep the Earth safe . “<<<Placard 1>>>,” “<<<Placard 2>>>” read the placards.

Mr.P.Sriram, Chairman of Chennai Institute of Technology and Managing Director of MK group of companies, said that the objective of the walkathon was to give insight on the abrupt climatic change at the wake of Chennai Floods and Vardah, where a lot of trees were uprooted and as responsible citizens, we are bond to respond to these alerts from the nature significantly .
